Get straight answers about how we run Mautic + SES so you can launch fast and stay safe.

No. We host on our managed infrastructure for performance, security, monitoring, and predictable results. You still own the AWS/SES account.

We route mail at the server level. Our Linux/cPanel mail transfer agent (Exim) is configured to use Amazon SES as a smarthost for the specific hosting account that runs Mautic. That means every message sent by that account (via localhost/SMTP) is relayed to SES over TLS with SES SMTP credentials. This keeps Mautic simple (no extra plugins), preserves full SES compatibility (throttling, bounces/complaints), and lets us enforce anti-abuse policies centrally. If you prefer, we can also point Mautic directly to SES (SMTP or API) per app.

Included: hardened Mautic 6.x, DNS/SES setup, one domain + one sender, crons, SSL, basic backups, monitoring/alerts.
Not included: AWS/SES costs, campaign design/automation, Zender licensing/phone numbers, dedicated IPs, or 24/7 support (all available as add-ons).

We configure SPF/DKIM/DMARC, Return-Path, SNS bounces/complaints, sane rate limits, and warm-up. You keep list hygiene; we can set alerts so you stay below risk thresholds.

You get Mautic admin + cPanel access; we manage the underlying server, but can get a contained terminal version.

Yes—each additional domain/sender requires verification and setup (billed as add-ons).

Yes—if limits and reputation are healthy. We’ll verify your domain, wire SPF/DKIM/DMARC and bounces/complaints, and request quota increases if needed.

Typically 1–3 business days after we have DNS access and your AWS details. If you’re in sandbox, allow extra time for AWS review.

We install the latest stable Mautic 6.x and avoid forced auto-upgrades. Managed updates are available as a paid add-on.

List hygiene is your responsibility. We can coordinate validation for a $50 handling fee plus the validator’s cost (EmailListVerify/Mailfloss or your choice).

We install Zender + the Mautic plugin (up to 5 numbers). Licensing, phone numbers, and Meta verification are not included.

SLA

We monitor 24/7 (app, cron, disk/CPU, SES relay). Typical availability >98.5% monthly, excluding scheduled maintenance and third-party outages (AWS, registrars, telcos).

  • Critical (down, delivery halted, security): first response ≤ 4 business hours.
  • Standard (how-to, minor issue): first response ≤ 1 business day.
    Business hours: Mon–Fri, 09:00–18:00 (UTC-5), local holidays excluded.

Planned work is announced 24–48h in advance and scheduled off-peak (usually nights/weekends). Emergency security patches may be applied with short notice.

WeeklyWeeklyWeekly files + DB; default retention 3 copies. Guided restore available (typical RTO: next business day). Longer retention available as an add-on.

SES configured with SPF/DKIM/DMARC, Return-Path, bounces/complaints (SNS) and safe throttles.

If bounce/complaint rates risk SES reputation or violate policy, we may temporarily suspend sending while we remediate (list hygiene, cadence, content review).

Sending limits are set by AWS/SES (and by WhatsApp/Zender if used). We’ll request increases when justified and align pacing to provider thresholds.

Service don’t include upgrades. We can upgrade your installation as another service.

Least-privilege access, audit logs where available, and key rotation on off-boarding. You retain ownership of the AWS/SES account at all times.
